I admit it: I'm a total geek. I love electronics, programming, 3D printing, 3D art, and vintage Apple hardware. I'm always juggling half a dozen projects. I also enjoy documenting it all: my successes, my failures, my experiences... and everything geeky along the way.

Check out what vintage goodie my Dad unearthed in the garage. He had no need for it, so he gave it to me.

It’s a FABREX 424 vice made in England.

I tried to dig up some info on the internet about it. I didn’t find much. I did find a few specimens on eBay. It seems that the going rate is about $10 bucks. I guess it’s not exactly a collector’s item. As far as I can tell, it’s from the ’60s - ’70s. The vice measures 3" across and open to about 2 1/2 inches.

It’s definitely seen better days, but if I need to put the squeeze on something, I’m sure it’ll do just fine.
