I finally picked up a Glencairn glass. I’ve been on the lookout for one over the past few weeks, but haven’t seen any single glasses sold locally. A few of the liquor stores by me sell glass wear, (the ones that I remember to look at) but they are expensive. That, and I don’t really need a 6-pack. Half the time I get home and think, “Rats! I forgot to look again!”

I was at the Capitol District Scottish Games in upstate New York yesterday. One of the booths had a whole bunch of whisky glasses. They were $10 bucks each. With the power of the internet-in-my pocket, I found a few sites selling the same exact one for $9. While all the kilt-wear, etc was super-marked up, the glasses were only marked up a buck. However, cheaper in the long-run since I’m not paying tax or shipping.

So, for $10 bucks, I finally got a single Glencairn glass.



And my Johnnie Walker never smelled so good.
