Glenmorangie Lasanta 12-Year Single Malt

Whisky | Single Malt | HighlandI’ve seen Glenmorangie Lasanta online for $70 bucks. I was happy to get it for $43.99 at my local liquor store. Glenmorangie is one of my Dad’s favorites; so it came highly recommended.

Nice color! You can definitely see those sherry casks.

I really like the smell. It’s like chocolate and caramel, very sweet, but woody. Smells delicious.
On the palate, it’s very thick and syrupy. I taste that sherry wood, but I’m not picking out any distinct flavors beyond that. Nothing specific that I can put my finger on anyway. It’s pretty good, but strong.
The finish isn’t particularly sweet. It has a little heat even with a drop of water, with a little more wood coming through on the end.
Overall, pretty good stuff. Not your everyday whisky, but pretty good.
