This little LED tester is a lifesaver when working with SMD LEDs. I know most SMDs have the cathode marked, but sometimes it's still not obvious which end is which. I test every LED I use before placing them on my boards to make sure I'm holding it the right way, and that it works. This is a great tool to keep in your SMD LED parts drawer. It works with through-hole LEDs too. It even comes with a CR1220 3V coin cell.

Where would I be without my ATtiny Programming Shield? Many a night spent endlessly breadboarding ATtiny's onto a board with an Arduino just to upload a simple sketch. What a pain! With the ATtiny Programming Shield, you just upload the "Arduino as ISP" sketch to your Arduino, pop it onto your Arduino, pop in an ATtiny and in a minute or two you're done! There's even a SMD LED onboard so you can run the Blink sketch just to make sure your chip is working.

The Arduino as ISP Shield is another must-have tool to keep in your prototyping toolbox. No more breadboarding chips to burn a bootloader. With this little guy, you can just employ a 6-pin ICSP header into your PCB design, along with an FTDI header for sketches, and burn the chip in circuit from your Arduino. Just upload the "Arduino as ISP" sketch to your Arduino, pop the shield on, select "Burn Bootloader", and you're done!

It clips right into the power rail of your breadboard, so make sure you're using a max of 5 volts.
