I admit it: I'm a total geek. I love electronics, programming, 3D printing, 3D art, and vintage Apple hardware. I'm always juggling half a dozen projects. I also enjoy documenting it all: my successes, my failures, my experiences... and everything geeky along the way.

Geek Extraordinaire. Yeh, I said it.

Have a Seat

It's been a few months since my last render. I've been pretty busy with the holidays. With al that craziness out of the way, it's time to get back into the swing of things. I thought I'd start with something a little simple, maybe just a portrait.

I threw in a little village, the same one I used for Walking the City Streets.

I then dropped in Victoria 8 and started to play around with the camera and the lights.

First pass.

I need more props. I started to litter the background with everyday street items. I wanted it to look like a street market.

I then dropped in some villagers.

I posed them throughout the background.

Ah, that looks much better!

The foreground is little a little bland, so I dropped in some tables and some guests. Maybe it's an outside tavern of some kind. Maybe she works there and she's asking you to take a seat?

I then took the render into Pixelmator and did a little post work. Not bad for a day's work.
