Weapons of Beauty: Katana is usually $14.95, but I nabbed her on sale for $7.48. She has eye, nail, and makeup options as well as high quality (4000 x 4000) Texture, Bump, Specular, Translucency and Subsurface Maps. She has a really nice, high-quality map with all the details. And when I say, “all the details” I mean “all the details”!

I dropped in some clothes and hair since this is a family show. What a beauty!



I just wanted to test her out a bit, this isn’t going to be a full-on render, just something to play with. I gave her a simple sitting pose and placed her on a couch. I’m not sure about the hair though, it makes her look kind of mid-40s.



I quickly laid out a room and popped in some lights. I’m picturing some kind of sunset scenery in the background, so I made the lights sort of orange.



Not bad, but the lighting does make her look much older than she really is. The hair doesn’t help either. She’s not sexy enough. I was really hoping for more of a “sexy young thing” look.



I changed the hair, put on some heels, and tweaked the pose ever so slightly.



That’s a little better.



I popped in a background and some light rays. Yeah, I admit the lights rays are a little over the top and unrealistic, but I was just playing around.



I can’t wait to use her in some kind of killer-assassin scene. She looks like she’d make a good assassin. Maybe something like this?



I’ll have to play around with it some more and see what I can come up with. Not bad for $7.50. Not bad at all.
