With all the old renders out of the way, it was time to start something new. The creative juices are flowing, and I’m on a roll. (That, and with no electronics projects in the works, what else am I going to do?)
DAZ was having a sale and I managed to pick up
Teen Josie 6 for free. I didn’t care much for her face, so I used the shaping tab to lower the head morph to 0%.
Not bad. Kind of cute. You can tell it’s Victoria 6, a little younger, but not a teen. Early 20s?
I put her in a meditation pose.
I then dropped in a ton a
modular ruins that go back pretty far. I wanted the scene to have a deep depth of field.
I then adjusted my camera and did a test render.
Cool. I think this is the first square render that I’ve done.
I then dropped in the
TerraDome 3 and played with the lights. I wanted a sandy desert feel.
I didn’t care much for her skin texture and outfit, so I played around with a few things, as well as the depth of field.
I still wasn’t happy with the outfit, so I changed it again and applied a gold shader.
I dropped a spot light behind her…
…and adjusted the depth of field again.
Awesome. You should see what this looks like at 2560 x 2560!
The one thing I didn’t like about the outfit was the collar. It’s just too bad that it’s not removable. If I try and hide that portion of the outfit, it takes the breast plate with it.
The only way to get rid of it was to do a nude render, layer it, and ‘shop it out. Boom.
I then tweaked the color, added a ton of lens flare, some halos, and a super bright light on the tiara.
Awesome.
And since it’s 2560 x 2560, I can crop it to 2560 x 1440 for my desktop and it still looks awesome.
