I picked up the
Reflections Victorian Bedroom set, along with the
Reflections Furniture and
Reflections Vanity and Dressing Screen add ons. They’re normally a good $17 each, but if you’re in the Platinum Club, you get them for $1.99. It’s a steal. Putting them all together should make for a very nice looking setting.
I started by setting up a room and decked it out with furniture.
This one is going to be super-sexy, so I dropped in Genesis Katana and Victoria. The final render is going to display some “artistic nudity” but in the interest of keeping my site safe-for-work, I’m going to have clothes on for all the screenshots.
I spared no expense in adding all the minor details that I could. I added little jars and trinkets, combs, brushes, mirrors, frames, and candles all over the room. It’s the little details and additions that you add to a scene that make it more realistic.
I added a frame, a tapestry, a clock to the mantle, and a scuttle to the fireplace. All those guys came from the
Holiday Nook.
On the nightstand, I added a bowl, plate, wine glass, and some salad that I had from other various purchases.
I changed the clothes, added some hair, and added a deformer to the bed for Victoria. I know the final version will contain nudity, but I might as well put on some sexy lingerie for the “safe-for-work” version. Might as well make it a keeper too.
As far as the clothes on the floor under the dressing screen, I was going to crumple them up with a bunch of deformers.
However, I didn’t have to go nuts with that. I just twisted them up and moved them around with the morph sliders.
I crumpled up a teddy, a pair of panties, and some stockings. I then placed them on the floor behind the dressing screen.
Time for some lights. I gave the fireplace a nice glow.
Some spotlights.
Some more lights to provide some mood, as well as color from the fireplace, along with some dimly-lit wall lamps.
Time for some post work.
For the candles, I added some flames and a little glow. I also added some drop-shadows on the tapestry and the curtains. That way they don’t look like they’re flat on the wall.
I dropped some city lights and some haze behind the windows.
For Katana’s hair, I drew in some random hairs along the hairline.
I darkened under the dressing stand a little using the burn tool.
Voilà! I’m really happy with the way this turned out: Warm. Sexy. Romantic. Mysterious.
