I admit it: I'm a total geek. I love electronics, programming, 3D printing, 3D art, and vintage Apple hardware. I'm always juggling half a dozen projects. I also enjoy documenting it all: my successes, my failures, my experiences... and everything geeky along the way.

Geek Extraordinaire. Yeh, I said it.

Do You Still Love Me?

My last render was a quick little nothing just to pass the time. Nothing special. I thought with nothing on my plate right now, it would be the perfect opportunity to revisit some older renders that never saw the light of day.

I had a blast making my Cyborg and You Gonna Stop Me? renders. There were actually a few more experimental renders in the mix that I never finished.

You Gonna Stop Me final

After all, I liked the way the first one came out, so let’s get to it.

I basically just moved Victoria to a different spot in the same scene and changed the hair and outfit. All the lighting is the same.

Test render.

I then did another one with the cyborg parts.

I then took the two renders into Pixelmator and edited the seams. I then went nuts with the sci-fi lens flare.

But I still wasn’t happy. It could be sexier. I decided to do another one with just a tad of nudity. Nothing too over the top.

That’s better.

Again, did another render without the cyborg parts…

…layered them, edited the seams, and went nuts with the after effects.

I like the hard light overlay that I gave it. Almost looks like an HDR image. The original image is huge, so even just cropping it down to her face makes for a great wallpaper.
