I’m really loving DAZ’s new
Mei Lin 6 character. Seeing her in action made me want to finally bite the bullet and pick up her companion: Lee 6.
When Lee originally came out a few months ago, I passed on the chance to pick up the Pro Bundle at the intro price. Needless to say, I held off on buying it until I could get it on sale again. With DAZ just throwing sales around like crazy these days, I managed to pick up the Pro Bundle for a mere $41.81. That’s a deal-and-a-half considering what they throw in.
Not only do you get the Lee 6 base model, but you get 4 other characters: Ja-Long HD, Kasper, Malakai, and Yasuo. For hair, you get Kung Fu Hair, North Hair, and Kami Hair. For clothes, you get the Jade Renegade outfit, the Kung Fu HD outfit, the Serpentine Monk outfit, and the Yakuza outfit. Also, they throw in some Martial Arts Weapons, and two pose packs: Lee 6 Sword Poses and Monk Moves for Lee 6.
That’s a very beefy bundle! Let’s check it out!
Even without an HD option, Lee is looking pretty good. He has a lot of detail and is very well-defined.
Just like Mei Lin, I can’t imagine adding HD would offer much improvement.
Lee comes with 25%, 50%, and 75% SSS options as well as a few different eye colors.
From left to right: Ja-Long HD, Kasper, Malakai, and Yasuo. It’s a nice mix of dudes. For those that are interested in the whole package (pardon the pun), the Pro Bundle also comes with the Genesis 2 Male Genitalia.
Here’s a close up of Ja-Long HD…
Kasper…
Malakai…
And Yasuo…
There’s plenty of poses to go around too.
The outfits are of a very nice quality too. This is the Jade Renegade Outfit.
Kung Fu HD comes with a few style options.
The everyday, casual Yakuza outfit
Followed by the Serpentine Monk outfit.
DAZ even threw in some weapons with the Martial Arts Weapons 2 pack.
The Lee Sword Poses pack even comes with a samurai sword.
This is a great bundle. It comes with a really nice mix of everything you need to start rendering some really great characters.
In the interest of speeding up my first test render with Lee, I recycled the scene from
Night Ruins.
Not bad. This only took me bout half and hour to crank out.
