I got suckered by another one of DAZ’s crazy sales. The fact that they threw in a $5 off coupon didn’t help either. Well, it helped, but you know what I mean. I picked up a bunch of poses, weapons, clothes, and a bunch of other stuff. One item that really stood out from my weekend splurge (that I was eager to play with) was the
Lorella Fantasy Outfit.
It’s a really nice high-quality outfit for Genesis. It’s usually $16.95, but with the sale I got it for $8.48.
There’s no shortage of options for it. It comes with no less than 14 textures, as well as over 50 bump and specular maps with a resolution of 4000 x 4000.
Does this one look familiar?
It should. It’s the same outfit DAZ used in the splash screen for DAZ Studio 4.6!
Not only does the outfit come with a ton of textures, but it also allows you to hide the skirt if you want.
You can also hide the entire mid-section, if you want the Princess Leia look.
I tried applying the outfit to V4, but it just didn’t fit. No matter what I tried, it just didn’t conform properly. Which is a shame because I’d really like to use this outfit with either
Ianthe or Mina.
With that, I stuck with Genesis 2, added some
Tears Hair, and applied the Ianthe texture. I don’t have the Genesis morphs installed, so none of the head and body morphs will apply, just the texture.
I then dropped in a background, UberEnvironment, and a few spotlights. Nothing fancy with the shading, just a quick test render.
I’m happy with what I see. $8.48 well spent. I can’t wait to use it in a complete scene.
