DAZ had another crazy sale. They kill me. They have sales almost every week, and I just can’t refuse. This time, it was buy one at 30% off, buy two and get them for 50% off. I already had some figures on my Wish List, so I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get them on the cheap.
One of the characters I picked up was
Ianthe. She’s normally $16.95. I got her for $8.48.
To test how she looks across several models, I loaded in (from left-to-right) Genesis 2, Victoria 4, and Victoria 5.
I then applied the Ianthe character.
As you can tell from the following image, Genesis 2 shows no effect. That’s because I don’t have
Genesis Evolution: Body Morphs and
V4 and M4 Shapes for Genesis. You’ll need those 2 packages in order to apply V4 character to the Genesis 2 base. The character was applied to V5, and although you can see a slight change in the face and the body, it doesn’t look like a complete morph was applied. Victoria 5, being based off Genesis, probably also needs the V4 Shapes and Genesis Morphs.
I loaded in the Ianthe texture. You can definitely see that V5 is different from Genesis 2, but not as apparent as V4.
The nose, the cheeks, the chin and jaw line…. the differences are subtle, but they’re there.
Applying the makeup wasn’t a problem. All models took the options without a problem.
Without the body morphs for Genesis, her form appears the same as before. There was a slight increase in breast size, but that’s it. V5 shows that the morphs to the hip were applied, but nothing to the belly, collar bones, or arms.
For V5, there was only a small change to the breasts, however. Without a cleavage and nipple control for V5, there’s not much I can do beyond a solid A-cup.
The difference between the backs is negligible.
Ianthe also comes with some nice tattoo options. The skin texture is great; very detailed. It has all the “girlie” parts, if you catch my drift.
I threw together a quick pose and added some hair and clothes. What a beautiful looking character. I can’t wait to use her in a scene.
Along with Ianthe, I also picked up the character
Mina. She’s normally $15.95. I got her for $7.98.
Just like I tried with the
Ianthe character, I loaded in (from left-to-right) Genesis 2, Victoria 4, and Victoria 5 to test the differences between the various models.
I had already applied the Mina skin texture. The skin texture is great; very detailed. Just like the Ianthe texture, it has “everything”.
Just like Ianthe, the Genesis 2 base seems unchanged. Again, you’ll need the
Genesis Evolution: Body Morphs and
V4 and M4 Shapes for Genesis packages. V5 shows some changes, but not as much as V4.
Similarly, the head morph only applies correctly to V4, and partially to V5.
Before:
After:
From the side, you can pick out the subtle differences between the noses, lips, cheeks bones, and jaw line.
After adding some hair and makeup, the differences between V4 and V5 become a little harder to detect.
You can definitely tell there’s a different in the jaw lines between V4 and V5. The eye makeup didn’t apply correctly to Genesis 2. You can see some blue on the bottom of her eye lids.
So that’s 2 beautiful looking characters for only $16.48! Good deal. It’s only a matter of time before I pick up Victoria 6. So at some point I’ll also have to also pick up the morph and shape bundles for Genesis. That way all my charters work across all my models. Not that it’s a big deal. At least this way, it’s actually like having 6 different characters.
Just as a quick test, I gave them a quick pose and dropped in a background. Gorgeous! I can’t wait to use one of these beauties in a scene!
