I spent a lot of time on the set for the
Bedroom Scene, so I thought it would be easy to just recycle a potion of that scene for my next render.
I deleted everything from the set that I wasn’t going to need, and loaded in another V4 model.
I applied my new
Ianthe texture and gave her a nice pose at the vanity.
After a quick render, it immediately became apparent that I wanted to do a close up on her…something in a portrait orientation.
I shifted my camera and did another test render. She’s gorgeous, but I want you to see more of her body. It needs to be sexier. I also want you to see the vanity and all the props.
I pulled the camera back a little bit to capture some of the vanity as well as the window.
It’s looking good, but the lighting is all wrong. For the Bedroom Scene, it made sense since you knew all the lighting was coming from the fireplace. With the fireplace out of view, there’s nothing to suggest that the lighting is coming from candles or a fireplace. It could be the sun setting, but not through that window; not at that angle. Wherever the light is coming from, it’s not apparent as to what the source is.
I adjusted the angle a little bit, killed all the lights, and added the UberEnvironment2.
Another test render. Looking good.
For the background, I dropped in the
Old West Mercantile that I scored with one of DAZ’s Platinum Anniversary Crazy Deals; as well as a DAZ Horse 2 and some dirt.
I then moved things around a bit until it looked perfect. I also tilted Victoria’s head a little. Much sexier.
I tweaked the props on the vanity so that they could all be seen a little better, dropped in my lights, added a little depth-of-field so that everything outside the window was out of focus, and gave it another render.
I then realized that although I applied the Ianthe skin texture, I forgot to inject the head morph. I was wondering the whole time why she looked so “Victoria”. I also corrected the weird fold on her hips/thighs, changed her makeup and nail color, and gave her a more minimalist g-string.
All that remained was to run a final render.
Beautiful.
