I started this one around the time I did the
Chair Pose. However, I shelved it because I couldn’t decide what to do with the background.
I wanted just a simple portrait. No background props, just a wall. I rendered out Victoria 6, using Zev0’s
Skin Builder to create a nice tan line.
I then dropped in a simple wall and gave it a color.
Not bad. I played with the lights a bit, but I wasn’t happy. It was at this point that I shelved it and started working on
Green Eyes.
Well, now I’m back, and I’ve decided to give this one a background. I don’t what this one to be nudity for the sake of nudity, so I want to try something new. I want to try and add some tattoos in post.
After dropping in a background and some props, tweaking the lights and the depth-of-field, I rendered out a pretty good looking image. It’s hard to see on an image that’s only 620 pixels wide, but there’s a lot of detail in that skin. It looks great.
For the tattoos, I jumped online and searched for some simple vector images. I found what I was looking for and dropped in the image.
I set the layer mode to “multiply” to mask the white.
I then scaled, rotated, and trimmed the image to make it look like it was on her skin. I then dropped the opacity and hue just a hair.
I did the same for her torso and right arm.
Sometimes with the hair, it can look too much like a cardboard cut out. The edges are too hard.
I decided to draw in some hair strands along the edges just to make it look a little more realistic.
I wanted this to look sort of like a ‘60s / ‘70s vintage pinup, so I used some of the vintage filters to give it an aged look. I then added a slight vignette for the finishing touch.
