DIY Cable Management

DIY I have several totes worth of computer cables and parts in the closet, but the stuff that I use all the time sits in the cabinet under my credenza. Unfortunately, every time I reach for a USB cable I have to untangle it from the rats’ nest that’s under there.
Looks like it’s time for some DIY cable management.

I started out with a box and cut it down to size.

I then wrapped it in black poster board.

I’ve been saving toilet rolls for a good 3 months. I hot glued them into place.

Everything is so much more organized now. All my cables are now easily accessible. With the plugs sticking up, I can quickly identify the cable that I need. Having them in toilet rolls also eliminates the need for a twisty tie.

Ah! So much better!
