WatchesHappy Birthday to me! I picked up a new
Seiko 5, got my old
Hamilton fixed, and now my wife bought me a brand new Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic Chronograph for my birthday! Not even 3 months from the
last watch! Awesome!
I love field watches, and I love chronographs. This one is both. This is officially my most expensive watch, and my new favorite. It retails for $1545, but I got it for $600 on eBay.
I love a see-through case back. I think all automatics should have one. Check out that movement. This is Hamilton's H21 movement, which is based of the Valjoux 7750. It beats at 28,800 vph and has a power reserve of 60 hours.
As with most autonomic chronographs, they sit pretty tall. This one comes in at 15mm. It's sits a little high on the wrist, but doesn't look ridiculous.
Gorgeous! I love that dial. I got lucky and managed to find the 38mm version. Of lot of retailers online are selling the 42mm version. Since they don't make these anymore, they'll be pretty hard to find in a few years.
This makes my 3rd Hamilton, and watch #6.
