I admit it: I'm a total geek. I love electronics, programming, 3D printing, 3D art, and vintage Apple hardware. I'm always juggling half a dozen projects. I also enjoy documenting it all: my successes, my failures, my experiences... and everything geeky along the way.

Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 38mm

My wife bought me a Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic watch back in 2004 after we got married. I wore it for years and then suddenly one day it just stopped. I never got it fixed, I figured it would be too expensive. That, and when I tried dealing with Hamilton back in the day, they didn't exactly give me the warm and fuzzies.

I've been itching for a new watch ever since. I put a new one on my Amazon wishlist last Christmas, but alas, it never happened.

Lucky for me, I have the best wife ever and she decided to surprise me with a brand new Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 38mm. I did not see this one coming at all!

Oooooooh!

It's so much nicer than my old one. I really like what they've done with the dial. The red arrow on the second hand is a nice touch. My old one was 42mm, and if I had to do it over agin, I'd probably have gone with the 38mm. I think 42mm is almost too big for me. It doesn't look ridiculous or anything, I just prefer a smaller watch.

Check out that case back. I love a glass case back. So cool.

So this makes my 2nd Hamilton, and my 4th watch. Oooh! I think this is now a collection!
