I admit it: I'm a total geek. I love electronics, programming, 3D printing, 3D art, and vintage Apple hardware. I'm always juggling half a dozen projects. I also enjoy documenting it all: my successes, my failures, my experiences... and everything geeky along the way.

Geek Extraordinaire. Yeh, I said it.

Red Star 1963 Seagull Reissue

The Red Star 1963 Seagull Reissue has been at the top of my list for some time. I just haven't pulled the trigger. There are a few varieties and I really wanted the 38mm version with the sapphire glass and exhibition case back. That version never seems to hit Amazon. I managed to find the right version on Long Island Watch. Unfortunately, going that route cost an extra $30 bucks in tax.

In any case, there was free shipping and the watch arrived in 2 days. That's awesome.

I really have to hand it to them; the quality is amazing. Even the wooden box is very well done.

It doesn't matter how many images you see online of a watch. Seeing it in person is believing. It's unreal how amazing this watch looks in person.

The faux-blued hands and the gold numerals really pop in the light. It looks awesome.

The movement looks amazing. It being a manual-wind, there's no rotor in the way of the movement so you can clearly see all the gears.

Wow, just look at that! I know the images don't do it justice. You'll just have to take my word for it.

38mm is such a great size. It looks great on the wrist.
